Two years back it was the night of 5th Muharram. Husain asked me if I would like to come at the gathering. I agreed.
I thought to myself maybe it must be a huge and famous gathering where Husain goes once to recite lamentations.
When we reached the place, they told us that it has not started yet. Husain said it's not a problem, we will wait.
We were waiting in the car for half and hour. Husain was practicing the poetries and lamentations......

When we entered the gathering, I was dumb. I saw that we are only four people. One of them was busy reciting Quran... After the recitation of Quran, Husain started reciting Ziyarat of Ashura and the lamentations. His eyes were closed and he kept on reciting. As if he cared nothing else.

While returning I asked him if he knew that there would be so less people over here.
He replied : Yes. I have promised them to recite the lamentations every year for one night. Sometimes in such a small gathering, which is not even famous, a person finds something which is not found even in larger gatherings.

One night, I had to study at midnight, so I went to the main room. I saw that Mahmood Reza was already there. But he was not studying. Infact he was doing his prayers.

He was not more than 12-13 years at that time. I had no option but to study inside my room.

The next time I saw the same thing and hence could not study in the main room.
This happened continously for some nights. He would wake up at midnight and do his prayers in the main room.

Every night, his prayers used to become longer than the previous night. One night he was doing his prayers for about 2 hours.

One day I said to him, "doing midnight prayers is not obligatory on you. You are losing your sleep and then next day you feel sleepy in the school. Above all this you have still not reached the age for the obligatory acts. The daily prayers are not obligatory on you, midnight prayers comes after that."

While I spoke to him, I came to know that he had been having conversation with an Islamic student who spoke to him about the benefits of midnight prayers. And his words had so much impact on Mahmood Reza that he prayed the midnight prayers regularly for a week.

Because of his school, I had to convince him and tell him that it is not compulsory for him to recite the midnight prayers. But he recited his prayers with humility and docility. I still remember his face while he used to recite the prayers.

Our dowry was one Quran and one gold coin.
After marriage I did not accept the gold coin, but Muhammad brought a Quran after our marriage and wrote on it's first page: 'I hope that this book becomes the foundation for us to move together towards Allah.'
Whenever, after his martyrdom I feel depressed or unwell, I read what he had written and feel better.

During one of the days, in the year 1983 when Ayatollah Khamenei was the President of his time, while leaving for the program of directorate, he left from the Pasteur Road. While on his way, he heard some noise which was not very far.

The voice was from a young boy age 12-13 years old. The guards did not allow the boy to go near Ayatollah Khamenei. Ayatollah himself went to see what the matter was and finally the boy could come near to him.
Ayatollah Khamenei politely asked the boy: What is your name son?
He replied: I am Marhamat from Ardabeel. I traveled all the way from Ardabeel to see you!
Ayatollah replied: Fine. What do you want?
Marhamat said: Please tell the scholars not to recite the lamentations of Hazrat Qasim (as).
Ayatollah replied: Why son? What is the matter?
Marhamat said: Hazrat Qasim (as) was also of my age and he sacrificed his life for the sake of Allah and Imam Husain (as). Why don't they allow us to go to the warfront?

When Ayatollah Khamenei listened to the words of the boy, he himself signed on the dispatch paper, giving him the permission to go at the warfront.....

When we were in Najaf Abad in Isfahan, an old lady came in search of Commander Ahmad Kazmi. When he came for inspection, the old lady went to visit him. She had a small talk with the Commander and then left.

After a week, the old lady's son came to visit the Commander and thanked him. He said: Agha Ahmad Kazmi helped me solve my problem.

We realized later that the old lady's son was indebted and did not have the required money. Therefore he was sentenced to jail. But Commander Ahmad Kazmi pays the money from the inheritance that had reached him from his parents. And therefore the old lady's son was released free.

Whenever Agha Sadiq used to go out for his work, I would write a letter and keep among his clothes in his bag, so he could read later. Last year, he went to Karbala for the first time. I wrote two letters from which one was for him. I asked him to read this letter on behalf of me between the two shrines (Baynul Haramain) facing the Shrine of Abal Fadhl. And to drop the second letter after Arbain in the Shrine of Imam Husian (as) and not to read it!

I was sure that he would not read the letter, but I don't know why he read it. I had asked and wished for martyrdom of Agha Sadiq from Imam Husain (as) in that letter.

I wrote: O my master! For the sake of the life of your sister Zainab (sa), grant happiness and proximity to all the thirsty and aspiring Muslims near Allah. Agha Sadiq has stepped on your path. I entrust him to you! He wishes to achieve martyrdom on your path. Even I love martyrdom, but the fire of love towards martyrdom is not so high as Agha Sadiq. He wishes for martyrdom just like your brother's son Hazrat Qasim and for him martyrdom is as sweet as honey like your brother's son.

When Agha Sadiq came back he was so happy and told me: I couldn't believe that you would pray for my martyrdom from the depth of your heart like this.

Initially I couldn't pray for him like this and it was very difficult for me. But then I realized that he is suffering in this world. I realized that I have become selfish and want him just for myself. But then later I started thinking that I want him for the sake of Allah as well.

I remember the day when we were sitting before signing our marriage contract, he said to me :

Now, it's just you and me in this mirror.
I want you to help me reach the path to ultimate welfare and martyrdom.

And so even I promised him that I will help him in his goal and path towards martyrdom.

Everyone of us wore the special dress for the war front given to us except Ali Reza.
I asked him, "Ali Reza, why are you not wearing the dress?! Don't you want to go to the front?
He replied,"I am going to the war front for the sake of Allah. I do not like that someone looks at me in this dress and say that look son of someone is also a soldier. He is leaving for the war too; I do not want to do this for someone else. I want to perform this task purely for the sake of Allah... "
